Surge Studio is a UK production house run by Kit Tyler, focused on cinematic film and editorial photography for superyachts. The studio takes on a small list of vessels each season — long, considered engagements over high-volume work.

Restraint over volume
We take a small number of commissions each year. Each project gets the time it needs.
Discretion as default
NDAs are signed before pre-production. Crew names, vessel names, owner identity — held in confidence by default.
Commercial outcome
Beauty is a starting point, not an ending. We design every shot list around the broker's, captain's or owner's selling story.
Quiet on board
We move the way the boat moves. No raised voices, no equipment in the corridors, no surprises in the owner's suite.

Surge Studio began with a season aboard MY Hesperides — first as crew, then with a camera. The studio took shape from the realisation that the films and photographs the broker and owner wanted didn't yet exist for vessels of that calibre.
